Yoyo Dodo
Yoyo Dodo, better known as simply The Dodo, is a wacky bird first seen in the 1938 Looney Tunes short Porky in Wackyland.

History [ ]
In Porky in Wackyland, Porky Pig travels to the nonsensical locale of Wackyland in search of this creature, believed to be the last of the seemingly-extinct dodo bird. As Porky soon discovers, the Dodo is a very formidable adversary who plays several tricks on him by messing around with the scenery. Porky eventually does capture the Dodo by beating him at his own game, in the form of disguising himself as a bearded paperboy proclaiming that he’s already captured the Dodo. While the bird is confused by this, Porky hits him with a mallet and captures him, at which point a flock of other dodo birds appear to confirm (or rather, contradict) this one’s statement that he is the last of their kind.
The Dodo wasn’t seen again in animation, except for a color remake in 1949, titled «Dough for the Do-Do», where he is depicted with green plumage. Although the plot is basically as before there, Porky uses a different method of capturing the Dodo: he disguises himself as a dodo bird, prompting the real Dodo to handcuff him, allowing him to be close enough to hammer the Dodo. (Unlike in the original, Porky does not find out about the other Dodos inhabiting Wackyland.) The colored Dodo also makes a very brief cameo in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
In the multiconsole video game Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, the Dodo appears as a non-playable character, and is notably finally given a first name here — Yoyo.
In spite of being a very minor character in the original run of Looney Tunes, the Dodo had his own younger-age counterpart on Tiny Toon Adventures — Gogo Dodo, who, according to Gallery [ ]

Gogo Dodo
Gogo Wackston the Dodo (full name revealed in «K-ACME TV») is a cartoon character from the Warner Bros. animated television series Tiny Toon Adventures. He is a recurring character and is the son of Yoyo Dodo.

Description [ ]
Gogo is a young, green male dodo with blue shoes, a purple collar, and a pink and purple umbrella sticking out from the top of his head. He attends Acme Looniversity and lives in Wackyland. According to series writer Paul Dini, Gogo is the only member of the Tiny Toon Adventures cast who was a relative of one of the Looney Tunes characters; in this case, Gogo was the son of the original dodo from the 1938 Looney Tunes cartoon «Porky in Wackyland». He was said to be the last of the dodos.
Personality [ ]
Gogo is noted for performing various bizarre sight gags or stunts. Furthering this end, Gogo made his home in the Dali-esque realm known as Wackyland, a surreal land where backgrounds changed constantly and the entrance to which was located across a bridge on the outskirts of the city of Acme Acres, the usual setting of Tiny Toon Adventures. Gogo and Wackyland were considered bizarre and nonsensical by even the lax standards of the other characters in the show, and the latter was usually explicitly avoided. Gogo’s bizarre behavior included dating inanimate objects. He sometimes gets tired of having to do crazy things all the time, to the point of making a dance instructor video rather than making a crazy cartoon. Gogo was not only a student at Acme Loo, but also served as a hall monitor and performed other duties, such as acting as a cuckoo bird for the Looniversity’s various clocks, and umpire during sports games.
He is the eighth character to be roll-called in the intro, coming after the clip of Furball getting crushed by a piano. As the intro describes him as «insane», he makes this point clear by hitting himself with a mallet to turn himself into several smaller copies of himself.
In the episode «Her Wacky Highness», as Babs is bummed out at all of her authority figures telling her she needs to learn self-control because of her wackiness, Gogo persuades her to come to Wackyland by means of her television set. He shows her around and eventually they promote her to Queen Babs, first ruler of Wackyland, as Buster, Plucky and Hamton go looking for her. Even Babs can not take all the wackiness from them and tells them they need to learn self-control, which is forbidden in Wackyland, so they chase after her, along with Buster, Plucky and Hamton. With the help of Gogo Dodo they are able to escape without any harm done and find their way back home to the saner Acme Acres, where Babs is happy and relieved to return.
In «Sawdust and Toonsil», it is revealed that Gogo lost many of his friends to a cruel circus named «Silas Wonder’s Circus of Wonderment.» He himself was kidnapped, but Babs and Buster helped him (and his friends) escape. This episode reveals that dodos do not die, but they fade away (rather ironically, considering the fate of the real dodo), which happens when they do not visit Wackyland often enough to stock up on their wackiness.
End tag [ ]
Gogo’s end tag credit is «It’s been surreal!», then pointing a remote control at the audience and clicking it, as the entire screen irises to black.

Plot [ ]
A newspaper shows Porky traveling to Africa to hunt the rare dodo bird, worth four sextillion dollars. Porky uses his airplane to go to Dark Africa, then Darker Africa, and finally lands in Darkest Africa, per the route shown in the cartoon, somewhere in the vicinity of the Sudan. When Porky lands, a sign tells him that he’s in Wackyland («Population: 100 nuts and a squirrel»), while a scary voice booms out «IT CAN HAPPEN. HERE!» Soon he sees many strange, weird, and oafish creatures around, ranging from a three-headed stooge to a band composed of rubber bands.
Porky meets with a resident who provides «Information About The Dodo». Revealing the location, it ends up sending Porky falling from a sky background that is just run on a conveyor by the same resident. Doors open to reveal a castle surrounded by a moat as a light-up sign states «The Dodo». The Yoyo Dodo appears, driving the drawbridge like a boat to the other side. Porky asks him if he truly is the last of the dodos, and he confirms it before playing tricks on him. These tricks includes drawing a door with a pencil, appearing on the Warner Brothers shield and sling-shoting Porky into the ground, and pulling a wall of bricks that Porky smashes into (including dropping a parachute brick carrier that releases another brick). Finally, Porky dresses as another dodo, announcing himself to be the last dodo. Yoyo handcuffs himself to Porky, claiming, «I’ve got the last Dodo!» and runs with Porky to claim the reward. Porky reveals himself, and still handcuffed to Yoyo, runs off with him, now proclaiming «Oh no, you haven’t! I-I’m rich! I-I’ve got the last D-D-Dodo!» Once they disappear over the horizon, scores of dodos appear to confirm this, before dancing and hooting. «Yes, sir! He’s got the last dodo!»
